Ineza Umuhoza Grace
The Green Protector
Ineza is an Eco-Feminist and impact-driven actor in the climate change/environment sector based in Rwanda and a researcher in the field of climate change with a focus on climate justice and its policy. She believes in the power of sharing community voices to achieve climate justice. She is the co-founder of the “Loss and Damage Youth Coalition '' a coalition of more than 1300 youth from 100 countries advocating and taking concrete action to address loss and damage; she is its global coordinator. She is the founder of “The Green Protector '' a Rwandan NGO aiming to increase active youth participation in protecting the environment through climate action, climate education and engagement in climate policy; the organisation reached more than 3,000 children and youth, implementing 10+ activities and host 10+ youth engaged in climate policy negotiation on the international level. She has been on the Rwanda negotiation team since 2018 following loss and damage. She is a Global Citizen Winner 2023, An Obama Leader 2022, and a Nat-Geo 2020, to name a few.

Susan is a director, Risk & Compliance for Microsoft’s Supply Chain Hardware team with primary responsibility for ensuring that the Supplier base is compliant with the Microsoft policies and stated requirements for the group. A UK national now residing in the Netherlands, Susan came to Microsoft from Cisco where she was the designer and architect of the Corporate Ethics & Compliance Program across Cisco with an emphasis on Anti-Bribery & Corruption. She developed, introduced, and initiated the program globally ensuring compliance & ethics were embedded down through the country locations as well as with customers and partners alike. Prior to Cisco, Susan has come from alternate industries such as GE Lighting where she was European Product General Manager responsible for the business deliverables for Automotive lighting in three factory locations. She attended the G20 on lighting quality, delivered cost savings in manufacture of 27% through business process reengineering and, won several awards on ‘Best in Class’ manufacturing capabilities with Ford Motor Company (Europe) as well as BMW and Mercedes. Susan started her career in the Oil & Gas sector in the drilling area where she worked with Schlumberger and the then ‘Sedco’ drilling companies on join venture negotiations and business methodology. It is this business methodology and understanding that has helped her drive to understand the balance in the needs of business and regulatory practise. Susan holds a legal degree in International law, is certified through the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE) on compliance, is an adjunct professor at the Sorbonne university teaching Compliance programs, is a certified Stanford Project Management SME as well as a major speaker at compliance conferences on the topics of Anti-Bribery & Corruption, ESG and compliance programs in general.
Gerbrand Haverkamp
World Benchmarking Alliance
Gerbrand Haverkamp is the Executive Director of World Benchmarking Alliance, a non-profit bringing together investors, NGO’s, business platforms, governments and existing disclosure standards to develop free and publicly available benchmarks that rank companies on their contribution to the SDGs. He originally founded Index Initiative, one of WBA’s founding partners, and prior to this he worked for the Dutch Government in the areas of inclusive business, sustainable agricultural supply chains and food security.
Penny Karageorgi
Global Rights Compliance
Penny Karageorgi is a Berlin-based legal professional with a specialization in European Union Law, Environmental Law, and Business and Human Rights. Currently serving as a Legal Adviser at Global Rights Compliance (GRC) Foundation in The Hague, Penny's work centers around corporate accountability and human rights due diligence, with substantial expertise in the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). She has also been instrumental in implementing GRC's community-based monitoring (CBM) tool, aimed at documenting and monitoring labour rights violations occurring in garment factories across Pakistan.
Otto van der Harst

Otto van der Harst, Director and CEO of the Stichting Reclame Code (SRC), the Dutch Advertising Standards Association. He spent his entire career in advertising both as an agency executive as well as and corporate communications executive. After a career of 17 years with the international agency J. Walter Thompson, he started his own creative shop Selmore that he nurtured to a well-known brand in the Dutch advertising scene. In 2004 he joined SRC as a board member on behalf of the creative agencies till 2014 when he became executive VP at AEGON responsible for communications and sponsoring. In 2018 he became CEO of the SRC managing its complaints and compliance departments and setting up a proactive online monitoring system to get a grip on online advertising and influencer marketing. The 60 year old self-regulatory body has strong ties with the industry and plays an important role in setting new standards.
Thera Adam

Thera is the Senior Office Partner of the Netherlands and an expert IP lawyer. She specializes in contentious IP, including advertising. Thera advises clients on trademark, design, copyright, tradename and domain name infringements, as well as advertising and marketing claims. Formerly in-house at Unilever, she understands both the challenges of in-house lawyers as well as the Consumer Sector amongst others. As an advertising law expert, she has more recently gained recognition in the field of green claims, an essential element in corporates’ ESG efforts and strategies. She is a regular speaker on the topic and advises many clients on the pitfalls and how to mitigate risk, teaming up with international colleagues to provide cross-border advice. She is a regular lecturer and author in her fields of expertise. Thera started her career at NautaDutilh in 1998 and after her in-house role at Unilever in 2005, joined Simmons & Simmons. In 2012 she joined a Dutch SME law firm, moving back to the international legal arena in 2019 when joining Eversheds Sutherland and is now heading the Benelux IP group as well as being part of the global IP leadership team.

Luke Disney is Executive Vice President Sustainability and Lead Climate for the Rabobank Group, which in addition to being one of the Netherlands’ three systems banks, is the leading global food and agriculture bank and a recognized leader in sustainable finance. Luke leads the bank’s global climate change strategy, including setting the bank’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets for its €630 billion portfolio and overseeing its net-zero commitments. Luke is also a member of the EU Independent & Tripartite High Level Group on Financing the Sustainability Transition and a member of the Advisory Board for Chapter Zero in the Netherlands. Prior to joining Rabobank, he was Executive Director of the INSEAD Social Innovation Centre and the Founding Executive Director of North Star Alliance. Luke was born and raised on the east coast of Canada, and currently lives in the Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Beatriz Bastião is a young professional in the field of international development, with a dedicated focus on social justice an disability rights. She currently works in the International Labour Organization, the United Nations agency for the world of work, towards advancing disability-inclusive work and employment policies. Her previous experience also includes the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights and Youth Civil Society organisations. Beatriz is a passionate self-advocate and educator on disability inclusion, having delivered multiple training sessions and awareness talks on disability inclusion.

Angela is a senior manager within the Forensic department of KPMG, with the specialization in Integrity and Compliance. Angela focusses on soft controls, organizational culture and encouraging desired behavior. Angela has a background in Business Administration (specialization Change Management) and Social Psychology. She has been working for more than 6 years at KPMG supporting organizations with maturing their Compliance function and optimizing their Integrity programs, for example by assessing the integrity and compliance cultural using our soft controls model, moderating dilemma sessions and cultural programs. Prior to KPMG, Angela worked in science as a PhD and post-doctoral researcher. Her research was focused on how to encourage employees to behave pro-environmentally at work. Angela’s personal purpose is to create the right focus and a focus on ‘doing the right thing’. Within KPMG Angela and her team assists clients with a variety of questions, such as: - What is our ambition in respect to integrity and compliance and how do we get there? - How can we get a grip on the rules that we must and want to meet? - What are the (ethical) dilemmas within our organization and how do we create a working environment in which our people do the right thing? - How do we know what causes undesirable behavior, how do we monitor behavior and how do we promote desired behavior?

Marie-Hélène is a commercial litigation partner with special interest in insolvency law, the energy sector and arbitration. Marie-Hélène has a broad background in commercial litigation. She handles complex civil disputes, often in an international context. Marie-Hélène has particular expertise in specialist areas such as securities and insolvency law and the associated liabilities, such as directors' and auditors' liability. In 2013 she completed the postgraduate Grotius specialization course Financing, Securities and Insolvency Law cum laude. Marie-Hélène publishes and teaches in these areas of law. She was the principal teacher for the course Financing, Securities and Insolvency Law at the Netherlands Bar Association. Furthermore, Marie-Hélène has a special interest in the energy sector: advising in and litigating on various disputes including disputes regarding renewable energy. In addition to litigation before the civil courts, Marie-Hélène handles cases in arbitration (acting as arbitrator at the Netherlands Arbitration Institute) and in mediation. She completed the mediation training of the Amsterdam ADR Institute in 2019. This makes her ideally suited to explore and establish the possibilities of reaching a settlement both before and during proceedings. Marie-Hélène is a member of various professional associations and is the chairman of the Foundation Ambassadors of the Canal Festival (Stichting Ambassadeurs van het Grachtenfestival).

Mrs. Honig is a member of the Fraud & White Collar Crime team and specialises in criminal law. She advises and represents (inter)national companies, financial institutions, auditors and governmental authorities on matters related to anti-money laundering and anti-bribery, fraud, sanctions legislation and environmental and economic crimes (i.e. WED, Wwft, Wta). In addition, Simone is a part of the corporate (internal) investigations team of NautaDutilh.

Joris Krijger works as an Ethics & AI Officer at the Dutch bank de Volksbank while also holding a Ph.D. position at the Erasmus University Rotterdam on Ethics & AI. He has a background in Philosophy, Economic Psychology, and Media Studies. During his studies, Joris was awarded a Dutch national prize for both his high-tech startup Condi Food (Rabobank Wijffels Innovation Award 2014) as well as for his Philosophy thesis on technology, ethics, and the financial crisis of 2008 (Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities, 2017). He presently works on bridging the gap between principles and practice in the responsible use of AI by studying the operationalization of ethical principles from an academic and practical perspective. Additionally, Joris holds positions as Founder of the Ethical Data Science Association and as Founding Editorial Board Member of Springer Nature’s AI and Ethics Journal.
Maarten Biermans

Maarten is a partner at PROW Capital where he is responsible for all ESG related matters for its Green Shipping Fund, a private debt fund focussed on the decarbonisation of shipping. Previously he worked at Rabobank as its head of ESG policy and subsequently as its Global Head of Sustainable Finance. Before joining Rabobank, Maarten worked as a strategy consultant at Spring Associates (now Holtara) specializing in Responsible Investing within the alternative asset classes. During this time he advised various GPs as well as LPs on ESG related matters. He holds dual Master degrees in Economics and Philosophy, both from the University of Amsterdam, where he also obtained his PhD in Economics. While working on his dissertation, he was a visiting scholar at Stanford University. Maarten is a board member of the UN Global Compact Network Netherlands and a member of the Human Rights committee of the Dutch Advisory Council on International Affairs is an advisory body for the Dutch government and parliament. He teaches a course on Sustainable Finance and Impact Investing at the Amsterdam Business School. He collects old books and is a dedicated fan of Bob Dylan. In 2024 he published together with Barbara Baarsma a book on Sustainable Finance.

Hannah Greep (she/her) is a Policy and Advocacy Officer at OECD Watch and the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO), where they focus on holding multinational corporations accountable for human rights and environmental violations. She has a background in international human rights law and now works to ensure that affected communities and civil society organisations have access to effective remedies for human rights abuses and environmental damage. Hannah has worked for various civil society organisations and has specialisations in the financial sector, the OECD Guidelines, and the National Contact Point complaints process.

Marianne van Keep is Chief Sustainability Officer at Verstegen Spices & Sauces, a family business founded in 1886 in Rotterdam with approximately 500 employees, market leader in the Netherlands and with sales offices in Belgium, the UK, Ireland and Spain. Verstegen Spices & Sauces has formulated 33 integral, sustainable ambitions in the field of people, planet, profit and participation. Priority is given to green chains or climate goals, from biodiversity restoration and regenerative agriculture to the desire to become Net-Zero. A personal ambition concerns combating child labor in the chain. Marianne has been working at Verstegen for 23 years and is a member of the executive committee. In 2021 she was elected CSR manager of the year and she is chair of the Climate Group Europe.

Christiene Everaars is the Sustainability Manager and Country Success Manager at Siemens Netherlands N.V. In these roles she has been responsible for sustainability, public affairs and secretary to the board activities since February 2023. Driving the adoption of- and reporting on- the Siemens sustainability framework; contributing to lobbying for sustainability in business and promotes legislation that helps companies transition into a more digital and sustainable way of working. Previously, she developed the Ministry of Economic Affairs' digital strategy (2020-2022), lobbied for women's rights at the Council of Europe (2019), and held various management roles at Eneco, advancing renewable energy and data-driven efficiency solutions (2006-2018). She has a background in law and business management.

Bart Jan started his career in 1986 at Akzo Nobel (Coatings) as a management trainee, where he later held senior management roles as Marketing Director, Country Manager in the Netherlands and France and Business Unit Management roles until 2009. Bart Jan then moved on to become the Managing Director at the Dutch Import Export Association Fenedex from 2010 to 2015 and Director of the merger between EVO and Fenedex after 2016. Bart Jan Koopman obtained both a master's degree in Economics and in Law from the University of Amsterdam, where he studied from 1978 to 1985. Throughout my career, I have held various international roles, and since 2018, I have been serving as the Compliance Officer for Siemens in the Netherlands and the Nordics. I am passionate about the positive impact Siemens has on society, with a special focus on sustainability goals. Siemens' technologies enable our customers and partners to significantly enhance their sustainability impact, which is essential to the backbone of our economies. Through our DEGREE sustainability programme, we set clear goals and actions to achieve our sustainability ambitions, with ethics playing a crucial role. Willemijn is the program manager of sustainability and trade compliance for evofenedex, a business association with more than 10,000 trading and production companies. Every day she uses her knowledge and network to contribute to the growth of sustainable trade and future-proof chains. The challenges we face today regarding compliance and sustainability affect every entrepreneur. I am happy to contribute to this initiative on behalf of evofenedex. By participating in a campaign, you not only increase your awareness, but also help others within and outside your organization. This creates a chain reaction of positive change, in which more and more people become aware of the need to live and work sustainably.
Françoise Rost van Tonningen

Françoise Rost van Tonningen studied Sociology and Political Science in Utrecht and Amsterdam. In addition, she completed the academic course for supervisory board member at Nyenrode Business University. Françoise has worked in the financial sector for many years, the last twelve years as a Head Ethics Office at Rabobank that she established, the basis for the current Global Ethics Office. ‘What goes on in society, goes also on in the bank’ is her experience. Françoise stimulated and facilitated the dialogue about ethical dilemmas in the bank and with all relevant stakeholders to take well-considered positions and minimises the risk of blind spots. She is committed to positive impact. Together with Stefan Louwers, she wrote, amongst other, the essay The benefits of ethical reflection that has been published in the Dutch Yearbook of Compliance, 2019. She retired from the bank in the middle of this year, but she would like to continue to use her knowledge and experience. She now works as Senior Ethics & Policy Advisor for ICC Netherlands and is also committed to the Week of Integrity

Hello, I’m Roeland. As a marketing and communications specialist at Stichting DSI (www.dsi.nl), I am committed to integrity and expertise in the financial sector. My specialty lies in creating creative and effective campaigns that deliver real value to clients. I find it valuable to support initiatives that contribute to an improved ethical culture, especially within financial organisations in the Netherlands. The Week of Integrity is such an initiative that aligns perfectly with this goal. For me, the Week provides a powerful national platform for promoting integrity and raising awareness of the crucial role of ethical behavior in our society and the financial sector.
